Candidates from Agawam, Northampton among those graduating from Massachusetts Firefighting Academy

Some 46 students are scheduled to graduate.

MARLBOROUGH – The Massachusetts Firefighting Academy is holding a graduation ceremony for 46 new graduates.

The ceremony Friday at Assabet Valley High School features 44 men and two women who are going to work for 20 departments across the state, including Agawam, Northampton, Holden, Cambridge, Marblehead and Wellfleet.

Local graduates are Ethan A. Ledoux, Michael X. Mascio, James M. Mulkerin Jr., and Natalie R. Stollmeyer of Northampton, and Andrew Paschenko of Agawam.

They are scheduled to receive their certificates from academy Director Edmund Walker and state Fire Marshal Stephen Coan. The guest speaker is Revere Fire Chief Eugene Doherty.
